We grow some of the highest quality maize seed in the world right here in Gisborne, and we proudly distribute this seed around NZ and around the world. The Role: We are looking for experienced Production Operators to join our team based in Gisborne. This permanent role is tasked with supporting the Processing Supervisors and other production staff with key production processes required to enable us to produce the highest quality maize seed. A hands-on role with plenty of variety. In this role key activities include: • Field Operations tasks such as rogueing, detasseling, male plant removal. • Assisting with Husking, Drying and Shelling during seed harvest. • Assisting with Seed Conditioning – forklifting, operating sizing/gravity equipment, performing quality checks. • Assisting with the Seed Treatment and bagging process. • Completing order processing for the timely dispatch of seed to our customers. What we are looking for: • The ability to contribute to and foster our excellent Health and Safety Culture. • A current driver's license (a minimum requirement is a restricted license). • Previous experience driving and operating a forklift, an advantage • Good levels of communication. • Excellent time and work management skills. • The ability to work unsupervised. • An effective team player with attention to detail.
