Supplejack Contracting is looking for a motivated Full-Time Pest Control Field Operator to join our team! If you have experience (or a keen interest) in wild animal and pest plant control, enjoy working in remote backcountry environments, and are committed to safety and environmental best practices, we want to hear from you! While this role is based in Masterton, our projects are both within and outside the Wairarapa region. Regular travel and time away from home is required. This includes working away for extended periods, e.g., 10 days on / 4 days off. _____________________________________________________________________ What We Offer: * Full-time employment * Living Wage Employers * Specialised training * High-quality protective gear and specialist equipment * A supportive and safety-focused work environment * Opportunities for career growth and development ______________________________________________________________________ Your Responsibilities: * Carry out ground-based pest control operations, including trapping, baiting, and weed control, with occasional ground hunting opportunities. * Work safely in rugged backcountry environments and follow strict Health & Safety procedures * Use GPS and mobile apps for data collection * Operating motorcycles, LUV and 4x4 vehicles _____________________________________________________________________ What We’re Looking For: * Experience or passion for conservation and the outdoors (pest control, tramping or hunting etc) * Physical fitness and ability to work safely in remote, demanding environments * Willingness to stay and work away from home * Ability to work independently whilst also being a team player * Confidence using electronic reporting tools (GPS, digital mapping, smart devices) * A commitment to Health & Safety and environmental best practices * Clean criminal record _____________________________________________________________________ Preferred but Not Essential as further training can be provided for the right person: * Controlled Substances Licence for toxin use * Firearms Licence * Motorbike, 4WD and off-road driving experience * First Aid certification * Qualifications or experience using chainsaws * Full Class 1 Drivers Licence ______________________________________________________________________ About Us: Supplejack Contracting is a Wairarapa-based company specialising in wildlife management and pest control.
