Operate modern, well-maintained equipment Due to expansion, Speirs Logging Ltd is looking for a mobile tail hold operator to join our steep slope harvesting crew approximately 45 minutes south of Gisborne. This role is more than just shifting the mobile tail hold machine around the hill. We want someone that understands they are an important part of the extraction crew and works with the team to achieve strong safety, production, and environmental results. The position involves planning and shifting the machine safely and efficiently, communicating well with your work mates, maintaining your equipment, and helping keep the crew safe. Winch assisted work will be involved at times. Ideally you will have steep slope logging experience, relevant forestry tickets, and chainsaw experience, although these are not a must for the right person. We are looking for someone who is: • Honest and reliable • Hardworking with a good attitude • A team player • Proud of their work and machinery This job isn’t for softies.
