Subritzky-Clark Logging is look for a motivated, experienced harvester operator to join our small team. Based 40 minutes north of Kaitaia.
To apply for this role, you must:
• Work closely with forwarder and loader operator to maintain a smooth, continuous wood flow.
• Carry out daily pre start checks, greasing and basic maintenance to keep the machine in safe working order.
• Follow all site Health & Safety procedures.
• Accurately follow the crew foreman’s harvest plans for the day.
• Skills and experience required.
• Proven experience as a harvester operator.
• Strong understanding of forestry Health & Safety requirements and safe operating procedures.
• Mechanically minded, able to identify issues early and carry out basic maintenance.
• Good communication skills and able to work as part of a tight knit crew.
Personal attributes:
• Drug free, able to pass a pre employment drug test and ongoing random testing.
• Able to pass a pre employment medical and be physically fit for outdoor work.
• Safety conscious mindset – always thinking about your own safety and your mates’.
• Self managing, reliable and punctual, with a good attitude and strong work ethic.
• Takes pride in machine care and keeping the work area tidy and organised.
