Reforestation Worker
We’re on the lookout for motivated and physically fit workers to join a reforestation project based just south of Dunedin. If you enjoy working outdoors and want to be part of restoring New Zealand’s native environment, this is a great opportunity to get involved in meaningful, hands-on work.
Location: Dunedin, Dunedin
Start date: 13th of April
Pay rate: $26–$29 per hour (weekly pay)
About the role:
You’ll be working as part of a team on a large-scale native planting project, helping with rewilding and restoration of native bush. This is active, outdoor work where no two days are the same.
What you’ll be doing:
- Planting native trees across reforestation sites
- Walking across varied outdoor terrain throughout the day
- Repetitive tasks including bending, kneeling, digging, and planting
- Working 5 days per week, up to 10-hour days
- Contributing to environmental restoration and native planting projects
What we’re looking for:
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to handle repetitive manual work
- Willingness to work outdoors in all conditions
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Reliable transport to get to the meeting point
- Outdoor work experience is a bonus.
