We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Flooring Installer to work with our client in Timaru. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for installing carpet and vinyl flooring, including prep work, cutting, fitting, and finishing to the highest standard. If you’re not already based in Timaru, we’re happy to discuss travel and away allowances to support the right candidate. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Install carpet and vinyl flooring in line with New Zealand Standards and industry best practices Accurately measure, cut, fit, and finish all flooring to a high standard Carry out prep work to ensure smooth installation Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles Deliver outstanding customer service, always presenting a professional, tidy appearance Follow all health & safety policies and report incidents/near misses promptly Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth project delivery You Will Have: Proven experience in carpet and vinyl installation A clean, unrestricted NZ Class 1 driver’s licence Good knowledge of flooring installation standards and techniques Strong measuring, calculation, and finishing skills Excellent communication, with a professional and customer-focused attitude Reliability, good time management, and attention to detail A team mindset – approachable, helpful, and solutions-focused Ready to take the next step in your flooring career?
