We are looking for a part-time Support Worker in Invercargill for our Whanau Support Services. The hours will be 12 per fortnight.

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives and achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping.

* People who are passionate about helping others, and are kind and understanding
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth
* Full driver's licence and your own vehicle is essential
* A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
* Somebody who has the initiative to support people towards their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box
* You need to be respectful of others' thinking and their way of living life, which may be different to your own
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
