Willingly support Doctors through NZ GP training programme • We have a vacancy for a permanent GP (ideally .8) to support our vibrant primary health care practice. • District population of 15,000 servicing a large agricultural heartland. The town of Gore is family friendly and welcoming, with a superb range of recreational and leisure facilities for all ages. These include a short course, 8 lane indoor swimming pool, leisure pool, toddlers pool and hydrotherapy pool. A four court, indoor event centre. An Olympic short course ice rink. • The well known Dolamore Park is situated about 15kms from Gore. The Park includes many walking tracks, a mountain biking track and outstanding botanical collections. There are also several parks in the Gore township. • Gore has a range of retail outlets, branches of the four main New Zealand banks and a host of other service providers for the agricultural sector. It has a wide, open streetscape. • We are a short distance from world-renowned attractions such as Queenstown, Fiordland National Park and Catlins Coast, with access to outdoor activities including skiing, hiking, surfing and mountain biking. • Supportive of GPs developing special interest areas. • We offer competitive remuneration, assistance with relocation/housing, NZ Medical Council registration and a collegial and supportive working environment. The practice would consider employing a doctor with a minimum of 4-5 years broad post graduate experience who wishes to pursue General Practice as a career. As a teaching practice, we willingly support Doctors through the New Zealand GP training programme. We offer competitive remuneration, 15 minute appointments with a maximum of 10-12 patients/session, assistance with relocation/housing and help with the Medical Council registration process. Candidates must be from countries with comparable health systems to New Zealand.
