Hands-on, workshop-based role with some site work involved Mechanical Fitter – Heavy Engineering & Maintenance (Dunedin) We’re looking for a trade-qualified or highly experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a leading engineering firm specialising in heavy machinery maintenance and hydraulic systems. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role with some site work involved—perfect for someone who thrives in a physical, team-oriented environment and is confident working with large machinery and hydraulic components. Start date - Asap Pay rate $34 - $38 depending on experience What You’ll Be Doing: - Assembling and fitting mechanical components and machinery - Interpreting and working from technical drawings - Performing hydraulic system maintenance and fitting - Supporting maintenance and repair work for mining and heavy engineering machinery - Maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety in all tasks hat we need: - Trade qualification as a Fitter, or 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience - Solid understanding of hydraulic systems (preferred but not essential) - Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail - Proven reliability, self-management, and a solid safety mindset - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test - Valid work rights for New Zealand Whats on offer: - Weekly pay with competitive rates - Opportunity to work on large-scale, heavy engineering projects - Supportive team environment with long-term career potential Apply ONLINE now or call Tradestaff Dunedin on 0508 404040
