Opportunities to develop your skills We are looking for a qualified Turner for our machine shop who is also comfortable carrying out site-based mechanical fitting work. This role offers a good balance of precision machining in the workshop and hands-on installation and maintenance work on site. About the Role * Precision machining (manual lathes and mills) * Manufacture and repair of shafts, housings, and mechanical components * Site installation, maintenance, and repair work * Shutdown and breakdown work at industrial sites * Working independently and as part of a team What We Are Looking For * Trade-qualified Turner / Machinist (or equivalent experience) * Good general mechanical knowledge and fitting skills * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship * Physically fit and comfortable working on industrial sites * Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude * Willingness to work overtime when required Hours and Pay * Standard hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (4:00pm finish on Fridays) * Overtime paid at time and a half * Competitive pay based on skills and experience About E-Type Engineering E-Type Engineering is a well-established Invercargill-based engineering company employing around 35 staff.
