General Hand: Pyramid Engineering is a contract manufacturing and precision engineering business based in Silverdale. We have a modern shop with the latest machine tools. We currently looking for General Hands to join our team. OVERVIEW: We will consider people with varying levels of experience. You will be a self-motivated, well-presented person who is keen to work, and to learn. You will work well as part of a team and pay attention to detail. You will be available to work both morning and evening shifts on regular rotation. Generally 8 weeks days, 4 weeks evenings. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operating production machinery, under supervision of trained machinists. • Deburring, cleaning, and packaging completed parts. • Cleaning and servicing machinery and equipment. • Assembly work. • Any of a myriad of other tasks required to keep a busy factory functioning. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Training given as required, however you will be fit enough to work on your feet all day and safely manage heavy parts. • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed • Reliability and punctuality are essential. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Applicants must be able to work both on day shift and evening shift on a rotational basis. • This is for a permanent full-time role. • Must be eligible to work in New Zealand and be able to start immediately.
