We are currently seeking a Team Leader with marquee installation/dismantle experience and a passion for the events industry. The successful candidate will ensure that marquee installation and dismantle is carried out to the agreed quality and safety standards, within the expected timeframe. Responsible for managing and co-ordinating staff on-site to deliver results that meet and exceed customer expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Customer liaison, reporting to the Branch and Warehouse Managers daily
* Facilitate the installation and dismantle of marquees
* Responsible for site set-up, tidiness and safety
* Deliver all hire products and marquees within the expected timeframe
* Load vehicles with the correct hire product, verifying the contents of inventory loads against the customer invoice
* Manage and co-ordinate staff on site and deal with any conflict effectively
* Support and contribute to develop a positive workplace culture
Job requirements:

* A high level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items

We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Driver Manager to lead our Palmerston North driver teams. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our drivers deliver safely, efficiently, and on time, managing performance, resource planning, and compliance while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
Based at our Longburn depot, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, ensure rosters and coverage are effective, manage compliance requirements, and support your team’s growth and development. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, logistics environment and has strong people management and planning skills.
Key responsibilities
*Lead and motivate a high-performing team of drivers across the Manawatu region.
*Manage daily operations, ensuring deliveries meet customer DIFOT and compliance standards.
*Oversee rosters, leave coverage, and resource planning to maintain smooth operations.
*Monitor and report on KPIs, driver performance, and operational costs.
*Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety, MPI, and transport compliance obligations.
*Support driver training, development, and performance management.
*Collaborate with Regional and Operations Managers to identify and implement process improvements.
*Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications
About you
*At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within transport, logistics, or fleet management.
*2+ years’ experience in a leadership or team management role.
*Strong understanding of transport operations, compliance, and driver management.
*Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
*Proven ability to analyse KPIs and drive performance improvement.
*Committed to building a strong team culture based on safety, accountability, and customer service.
Preferred but not essential
*Knowledge of the shipping and container industry.
*Experience with systems such as Truckmate or similar transport management software.
*Relevant tertiary qualification or industry training (e.g. Certificate/Diploma in Transport or Logistics).

To be successful in this role you will:
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction or aluminium window industry.
• Have proficiency using V6 window drawing software.
• Have an understanding of the installation of window joinery that covers cladding details, finishing angles, flashing and sealing and have strong problem-solving skills.
• Ideally have some experience either on the tools/ work experience post-graduation or during, preferably in the aluminium joinery or a related field.
