Summary: This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fieldwork, problem-solving, and technical coordination within a unique and challenging environment, maintaining the Kenepuru roading network. Training offered for the right person with foundational experience This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of fieldwork, problem‑solving, and technical coordination within a unique and challenging environment. You will be a key part of the small team maintaining the Kenepuru roading network in the Marlborough Sounds. This position ideally suits someone living in, or willing to relocate to, the Linkwater, Havelock, or Kenepuru Sound area. Due to the nature of the network, the role includes participation in an on‑call roster and requires the ability to respond to call‑outs, night‑time incidents, animal hazards, and emergency situations in a timely manner. This role includes: • Supporting the planning and delivery of routine and reactive maintenance works • Assisting with site inspections, assessments, and reporting • Providing technical input to maintenance activities and field crews • Response to call‑outs and assist with emergency situations when required • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and traffic management requirements • Preparing reports, records, and documentation to support contract delivery We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude and foundational experience.
