This unique opportunity involves working in one of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth. **Location: McMurdo Station, Antarctica** (approximately 1000 residents in summer season, 200 in winter) ** Rate: $55 per hour Deployment date:** Feb/March 2026 (minimum 6 month assignment) **Your experience should include maintaining the following:** Heating, ventilating, cooling, hoists, compressors, hydronic systems, pumps, kitchen/galley equipment, shop tools and a wide variety of other types of equipment and their component parts. ** What to expect when you're down there:** * Accommodation provided (you will be in a bunk room) * Free food (the meals aren't Michelin starred, but they're still pretty good) * Free flights from any major NZ airport * $55 per hour * Work schedule: Mon - Sat, 7am - 5pm (54 hours per week) **What to expect before you start:** * Medical and dental checks * Criminal background and security checks * Vaccinations (flu and tap) **What to do now:** Please apply through the link.
