As our Boiler Operator, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our boiler systems, which play a critical role in powering our site. You’ll work with a mix of electric and gas boilers, ensuring they’re operating at peak performance and maintained to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: *Operate, monitor, and maintain electric and gas boiler systems. *Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance. *Monitor gauges, meters, and control systems to ensure optimal performance. *Troubleshoot and resolve boiler-related issues promptly. *Maintain accurate logs and records of operations and maintenance. *Comply with all safety protocols and environmental regulations. Qualifications The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following key requirements for the role: *A proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring that production departments experience minimal down time due to engineering requirements *Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a variety of priorities and demands *Ability to work well in a team environment *Appropriate experience in a manufacturing environment *Ensures the site operates within its resource consent conditions at all times *A strong commitment to upholding health and safety standards *Applicants may be required to work on a rotating shift structure and must be available for call-outs Candidates must hold a National Certificate in Energy and Chemical operations - boiler operation Level 3.
