About the Role: They are looking for a Slitter Operator to work with our slitter and log saw machine on the afternoon shift at our plant based in Christchurch You will be part of a high performing team and will assist with the continuous improvement of our operations. If you do not have experience in machine operating in a manufacturing environment, full training will be provided. It is essential that for this role you have excellent attention to detail. Hours and shifts are below: Shift 1: 5.50am-14:00 Mon -Fri Shift 2: Mon to Fri * 13.50pm - 2200 Mon - Fri Shift 3: 21:50 - 0600 Sun -Fri | 41 hours per week! Rotating Shifts Duties Include: * Setup, monitor and control of own workstation and production equipment. * Run the jobs to the specified output and job changes are completed correctly and efficiently. * Wrap and stack all product correctly. * Record log sheets and timesheet data completely and accurately. * Record, code and place all scrap into the correct bins. * Advise setter of any issues that cause loss of machine speed, additional scrap, quality problems. Skills & Requirements: * You must possess excellent attention to detail as this is a very unique machine that requires attention * Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understanding * Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work * Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems * Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions * Willingness to able to commit to the shifts advertised * NZ work rights.
