Work within a stable essential services industry * 8hr shifts | Rotating Roster | Overtime rates inc Double Time + Shift Allowances * Week 1: 6am-2pm Week 2: 2pm-10pm Week 3: Overnight 10pm-6am | 24 x 5 roster * 1 year minimum Machine Operator Exp Essential | NZ residents Only Print Assistant * $26.28 - $27.78 per hour + daily shift allowance of $18.26 * Time & a half and double time depending on days/times worked * 8 hour rotating shifts available based in Hornby About the Role Reporting to the Printing Supervisor, you will be working alongside a qualified printer at our large manufacturing site based in Hornby, Christchurch. We are looking for a Print Assistant to join our printing team to produce high quality goods. Ideally you will be somebody with an above average mechanical aptitude as you will be assisting the qualified printers and will be operating the printing press as well as collecting the relocating the ink. The shift pattern operates on a rotational basis, changing each week. This is a long-term role and we are looking for people who are keen to learn and progress within the company. Full training will be provided. The shift patterns are: * Day shift: Monday - Friday 06:00AM - 02:00PM * Afternoon shift: Monday - Friday 02:00PM - 10:00PM * Night shift: Sunday - Thursday 10:00PM - 06:00AM Key Requirements & Responsibilities * A minimum of 1 year' experience in a manufacturing/production environment is preferable, however not essential * Experience in machine operation is preferred * Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as a strong mechanical competency * Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work * Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems * Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions * Thorough with good attention to detail * Must be able to work in a team and work alongside others * Possess good planning and organisational skills About the Company We are a global manufacturer of flexible packaging for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, medical and personal care industries.
