We have been delivering New Zealand pork to Kiwis for over 40 years and are the country's leading pork specialist. With over 150 staff operating from 4 sites, we are committed to the long-term sustainability of the NZ pig industry, through innovative processing and products that provide fresh, high-quality food products to New Zealanders, their families and their animals. At our Burnham facility, we operate a specialty feed mill for supply of pig feed to South Island pork producers. This feed is formulated to ensure good nutrition and performance is achieved for our farming customers. This a fixed term opportunity to provide coverage during a busy period, starting Monday 29th June for at least 1 month. We are looking for a reliable person with a great attitude to join our team creating our specialty feed. As part of a team of 7 and 3 on this shift, the key function of this role is to accurately manage the weighing and mixing of ingredients according to specific diet formulations. To be successful in this role you will: * Have a high attention to detail to follow our specific recipes and weigh ingredients * Be able to multitask as timing for various parts of the process is crucial * Be competent using a variety of machines and equipment * Have reasonable numeracy and literacy * Be flexible to respond to production requirements * Need physical stamina and strength due to the physicality of the job. A forklift license or Class 5 licence would be highly advantageous. Working on the morning shift, there are staggered work hours, generally Monday - Thursday 4am to 1pm, Friday – 4am to finish (generally 10am), with some overtime available when we need to meet production deadlines. There may also be upcoming work available on our afternoon shift available at a later date, for those looking for more.
