Freeman Roofing has a proud history of manufacturing and supplying top of the line roofing materials across New Zealand and is looking for a new factory team member to join our Queenstown based team. Originally from Nelson, Freeman Roofing has grown to include 11 branches across country. The Role The role will see you split your time as directed by the branch manager between machine operation and other factory tasks. When working in the factory you will use a mixture of steel roll forming machines including ridge, gutter and long run roll formers, our new state-of-the art folder as well as forklifts. While dealing with customers, you will be an ambassador for the company and will professionally operate in a customer focused way. What you will bring: * Work in a health and safety focussed way * Be reliable and willing to learn * Be a good communicator * Have an eye for detail * Prepared to work full-time on a permanent basis There is no minimum qualifications required for this role. Experience and skills working in manufacturing is preferred but not required. The role will suit mechanically minded individuals used to working with different machines. Your core duties will include (but not limited to): * Operating our machinery to make made-to-order products * Ensuring manufactured goods meet a high standard * Using a forklift to load and unload products and materials You will work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday with over time available periodically when needed. To help with work/life balance, we usually close for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period. The hourly rate is from $30 - $35 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
