Supportive and experienced team environment with modern machinery * $30-$35 per hour depending on experience * Full-time hours with steady workflow * Variety of production and custom work EQUIP People are seeking an experienced CNC Laser Operator to join a well-established sheet metal workshop based in Christchurch, Canterbury. This role suits someone confident operating CNC fibre laser machinery in a fast-paced production environment. You'll be involved in a mix of one-off custom jobs and larger production runs while working closely with fabrication and production teams. Duties may include: - Setting up and operating CNC fibre laser cutting machines - Loading and adjusting programmes for different materials and job requirements - Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD files - Running both small batch and high-volume production work - Monitoring cut quality and maintaining tight tolerances - Troubleshooting minor machine and production issues - Checking, counting, and labelling finished parts accurately - Completing basic machine maintenance and housekeeping tasks This role starts as a temporary assignment with strong potential to become permanent for the right person.
