Opportunity to make a real impact and grow your career About The Role: As a Utility Worker, you'll be involved in a variety of hands-on tasks supporting our operations. Your day-to-day work will include trench digging, cable and equipment installation, and moving materials across site. This is a physically active role that requires a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety. You'll also play a key part in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment by identifying hazards, setting up sites in line with safe work practices, and ensuring all equipment is ready for the job. Key Responsibilities: -Carry out hazard identification and always ensure a safe worksite -Identify underground services and obstructions before work begins -Assist with trenching, cable installation, and general labouring tasks -Operate and maintain equipment as required -Work closely with your team to meet project goals and performance targets -Support team members and contribute to a positive team culture -Communicate clearly with your team and supervisors -Represent Northpower professionally when interacting with customers -Take responsibility for your own performance and contribute to team success Experience: -Full Class 1 & 2 driver licence's - Class 4 & 5 and tracks endorsement are advantageous -Truck Loader qualifications are advantageous -A strong safety record and a “safety-first” mindset -Good verbal and written communication skills -Previous experience reading and understanding plans, including underground obstruction layouts What Northpower Offers You: Make real impact across Aotearoa in a stable and futurefocused sector.
