Summary: This position involves constructing essential stormwater and wastewater systems on various sites, requiring physical outdoor work in trenches and around machinery. Highlights: 1. Engaging in physical, outdoors work * $30-$40 per hour + 8% holiday pay + weekly pay cycle * Major civil works across the Bay of Plenty region * Temp to perm oppourtunities for the right candidate About the Role This position is ideal for drainlayers who enjoy physical, outdoors work and aren't afraid to spend time in trenches. You'll be helping construct essential stormwater and wastewater systems on a range of subdivision and commercial sites across Tauranga. Benefits * Great hourly rate: $30-$40 per hour * Weekly pay * Consistent Monday-Friday roster * Opportunities to upskill and progress * Supportive crew and modern equipment Duties * Trenching and assisting with excavation work * Installing wastewater and stormwater pipelines * Setting grades and using lasers and levels * Building manholes, sumps, and drainage structures * Backfilling and compacting trenches * Working alongside civil teams and machinery operators * Maintaining safety inside trenches and around machinery Skills and Experience * Previous drainlaying or civil groundworks experience * Comfortable working in trenches and around heavy machinery * Understanding of pipe installation, gradients, and plan reading * Registered, qualified, or experienced drainlayers welcome * Valid Site Safe (or ability to obtain) * Current NZ working rights * NZ driver's licence * Safety-conscious with a strong work ethic Please note you must be a New Zealand Resident or Citizen to be successful.
