Consistent full-time hours year-round and ongoing work About the role: In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a wide range of carpentry work across landscaping and outdoor construction projects, working closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality results for our valued clients. You will be working full time with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Our base is in Sefton, North Canterbury, however you may be required to travel out of town for certain projects. What you'll be doing: • Carrying out a wide range of carpentry work across landscaping and outdoor construction projects • Building and installing structures such as decks, fences, pergolas, retaining walls, and other timber features • Reading and interpreting plans and specifications to ensure accurate construction • Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber and other materials to project requirements • Assisting with site preparation and ensuring materials and tools are used efficiently • Working closely with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment What we're looking for: • Two - three years of proven experience as a carpenter or in other industry-related roles is required • Experience with outdoor construction such as decks, fences, pergolas, or similar structures is highly regarded • Ability to read plans and follow technical instructions • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship • Good teamwork and communication skills • Ability to work independently when required • A full clean driving licence What we offer: At Fastgrass Landscaping, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and supportive work environment.
