12Racelite Version, Weight: 13 kg, length: 5.7m, the Kayak is made of Kevlar and Carbon fibre - To buy new from Flow Kayaks listed is $5400 'The Aspire is an excellent choice for beginners and intermediate paddlers looking for a stable, comfortable kayak with a bit more room. Designed for ease of use, it's known for its maneuverability, stability, and even a touch of speed compared to others at this level.' (Flow's website) This Kayak is quick, stable and comfortable to paddle (very important if your paddling for up to 5 hours). The steering system is excellent - very positive and easy to adjust. I purchased this kayak new for the 2023 race - trained on flat water for 6 months, practiced on the Waimak twice with Canterbury Kayaks (Sam was excellent) and then once more on race day - it has only seen white water three times so the condition is excellent. The kayak has been housed indoors 100% of the time. I have done the race twice previously in different boats and this was the best boat by far. I was set to race again in the 2026 event - but had to withdraw as my partner is unable to compete for the for seeable future - we came 18th in the open family teams category - a great boat as I say. So the kayak and racing bike are for sale. (A Giant Propel - also listed - 2015 Giant Propel Advanced Pro 1 - Med/Large Frame 53.5cm)
