Methven Resort is currently seeking a part-time receptionist to join our team on a fixed-term basis starting in April to cover parental leave.
We are looking for individuals that are flexible and responsive with a positive and approachable manner. The work varies and is scheduled around the occupancy of the hotel, therefore work will include weekends and public holidays when the hotel is busy. As a receptionist you will have strong interpersonal skills and must work well in a team environment, ability to work well under pressure, eye for detail. Excellent communication skills, excellent computer skills, spelling and grammar.
Responsibilities:
• Greeting guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon arrival.
• Checking guests in and out efficiently, processing reservations, and handling payments accurately.
• Providing information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to enhance guests' experiences.
• Handling guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintaining an organized and clean reception area.
• Collaborating with other hotel departments to coordinate guest services.
• Assisting with administrative tasks, such as filing, record-keeping, and preparing reports.
• Ensuring the security and confidentiality of guest information.
• Handling emergencies and guest issues calmly and effectively.
• Assisting with guest luggage and porter duties.
Experience:
• Previous experience in similar role
You must hold working rights in New Zealand or have a valid working visa.
