With over two decades of experience in the industry, Scott set up Kerbco Limited in 2012, with the vision to provide a quality product, efficiently and safely. --- **Position Overview** We are seeking an experienced **Lead Hand** to join our team. This hands-on role involves leading daily site operations, ensuring quality, safety, and productivity targets are achieved. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete and civil construction and the ability to guide and support a small crew. --- **Key Responsibilities** - Delegation of tasks to workers - Create and monitor schedules for each worker - Make sure that work sites are clear of any hazardous materials prior to the commencement of projects - Conduct team meetings with workers and outline how tasks are to be carried out - Coordinate workers through projects - Ensure that all materials, supplies, tools and equipment are procured in a time efficient manner - Monitor daily construction procedures to ensure that proper quality is maintained - Handle onsite incidents and emergencies in a proactive manner - Create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and suppliers - Ensure periodic maintenance and proper storage of construction equipment and tools - Comply with Work, Health and Safety regulations - Maintain a daily job site log on Tradify - Confident kerb and channel machine operator --- - **Skills & Experience Required** - Minimum 3 years’ experience in the kerb and channel industry. - Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 or WTR endorsement advantageous). - Proficient in Tradify software operating systems and associated software - Excellent working on smartphones and tablets - Proven leadership ability with hands-on approach. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Strong commitment to quality, safety, and meeting deadlines. --- **Why Join Kerbco** - Competitive pay rates and stable, full-time work. - Supportive team culture and opportunities for growth. - Work with a trusted and respected name in the Kerb & Channel industry. _"By applying for this job, you confirm you have read https://www.adecco.com/en-nz/privacy-policy and consent to the Collection Statement located via https://www.adecco.com/en-nz/collection-statement By proceeding, you agree to receive marketing e-mails from The Adecco Group and acknowledge you can opt out at any time.
