Greenvale Station is a family owned and operated business looking for a full time employee to assist in the everyday operations of our cropping, livestock and irrigation farm. Greenvale is 1600 ha, we do all our own work, and operate a modern fleet of machinery and equipment, fertiliser spreading crop spraying, harvesting and baling. Your main role will be operating our new Fendt 930 with New Holland pro-belt baler and Bredal fert spreader, Case Quad trac with 5 metre cross-slot drill, along with other cultivation implements. Workshop experience in mechanics and engineering would be a bonus. Experience in contracting or arable farming would be preferred, but we will consider all applicants and on the job training will be given to the right person. We are looking for someone experienced with the following qualities: * Ability to complete work to a high standard * Prepared to take directions from the Manager * Good sense of initiative * Honest and reliable * Treat machinery with respect * Prepared to put in the work hours during drilling, harvest and baling seasons * Experience with GPS * Ability to read and understand fertiliser recommendations and variable rate maps * Operate a range of machinery * Must have a current drivers license Greenvale Station is in Garston, Northern Southland. We are 45 minutes from Queenstown and 10 minutes from Kingston and Lake Wakatipu. Accommodation is available on farm with a 4 bedroom family home, with a brand new kitchen and double garage, vegetable garden and plenty of space. Schooling - the local primary school is Garston Primary and Northern Southland College in Lumsden.
