So, we are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive shepherd general to join our team at Glen Cary Station. The farm is situated in the Hakataramea Valley and is a sheep and cattle breeding operation with some dairy grazing. Approximately 4060 hectares effective. You would be joining a dedicated team who take pride in doing jobs to a high standard, while not being afraid to think outside the norm. We believe in utilising good facilities and questioning the status quo. This role will offer a variety of work on a daily basis with stock work being the main focus. General farm work and maintenance will also be a part of the position such as weed control, fencing, water reticulation and tractor work. Key skills preferred for this position: • At least 3 years shepherd experience • A team of at least 4 broken in dogs • Have a positive attitude, good communication, be organised and punctual • Experience with general work, such as fencing, water reticulation, tractor and machinery skills.
