The Opportunity:
This is a pivotal role within the pre-construction team, responsible for producing accurate cost plans, tender submissions, and feasibility assessments while managing the full tender lifecycle.
You will:
* Lead and deliver competitive tenders ranging from $500k to $20M+
* Prepare detailed measurements and apply strategic pricing methodologies
* Manage the tender process end-to-end to secure profitable project wins
* Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry stakeholders
* Source and negotiate with trade partners to maximise value
* Analyse project, land, and building data to support sound commercial decisions
* Conduct thorough risk assessment and due diligence to protect margins
About You:
You bring a strong combination of technical expertise and commercial construction experience, along with the confidence to lead and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Key requirements include:
* Minimum 5 years’ postgraduate experience in commercial construction estimating
* Experience with mid-tier commercial contractors (NZ and/or Australia preferred)
* Relevant tertiary qualification (Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar)
* Proven experience across new builds and fit-outs
* Advanced capability with estimating and project management software
* Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strategic thinking with a focus on commercial performance and risk management
