Hands-on environment fostering client satisfaction and company success What’s in it for you? - Competitive salary based on experience and capability - Company provided tools of the job - Company provided vehicle allowance - Company provided health insurance - Opportunity to make your mark on some of New Zealand’s most significant, critical and high-impact projects - Direct pathway into senior role within pricing team About the role - Manage full commercial lifecycle of large-scale HVAC installation projects, from initial estimation through to final invoicing - Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure adherence to project timelines and procurement schedules - Monitor variations, claims, RFIs and project budgets throughout delivery, and present project financial health updates and forecasts to SLT - Ensure robust understanding of contracts and provide guidance to wider team - Manage procurement and supplier/subcontractor negotiations to support project timelines and margin targets Skills and experience - Proven experience in commercial management of large-scale HVAC installation projects, including familiarity with NZS 3910/3916 frameworks - Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and schematics for accurate cost planning - Extensive track record of influencing bid strategies and integrating value engineering into tender submissions - Demonstrated experience identifying commercial and contractual risk in HVAC subcontracts and driving risk mitigation measures - Experience mentoring juniors and liaising with key stakeholders across main contractors, suppliers and clients About the company - Well-established and respected D+B subcontractor with a reputation for delivering large-scale and technically complex mechanical projects in critical sectors - Management team who promote a hands-on environment where the entire team, including directors, are crucial to fostering client satisfaction, securing future business and overall company success How to Apply To discuss the above role in more detail or to enquire about other interesting job opportunities, please e-mail Tam Linton a copy of your CV and covering letter to tam@franklinsmithgroup.co.nz
