Position Overview: We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team and take ownership of the tendering and pricing process across the business. This role is focused on pricing civil works from tender through to handover, working closely with our Operations team, Engineers, and Project Delivery staff to ensure projects are set up for success from day one. Key Responsibilities: * Managing tenders from initial opportunity through to submission * Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil projects * Obtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotes * Understanding project scope, drawings, and specifications * Managing non-price attributes and supporting tender documentation * Maintaining pricing information and registers * Completing thorough handovers to the project delivery team * Liaising with clients, suppliers, consultants, and councils as required Requirements: * Tertiary education in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field * Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantity surveying or cost management roles * Previous experience in the civil sector would be advantageous * Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and associated costs * Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programmes * Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment What We Offer: * Competitive salary commensurate with experience and industry standards * Exposure to a diverse range of quality projects * Excellent company culture and work-life balance How to Apply: If you’re keen, send your CV and a short cover letter to careers@waipacivil.co.nz with the subject “Quantity Surveyor”.
