The role involves * Tendering/Pricing from plans and site measures * Negotiating to secure new work * Control & Management of all cost/contractual elements of a project from award through to completion * Ensuring projects are delivered profitably * Build and maintain healthy working relationships with staff, clients and suppliers The ideal candidate will need * Ideally 1 to 2 years proven experience in a QS/Estimating role * A degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying (or be working towards) * Strong computer skills and excel proficiency * Good planning and organisational skills Some knowledge of some of the following would be beneficial * Specialist floor coatings/screeds * Concrete preparation and repairs * Membrane Tanking/roofing -bentonite, bitument, butynol, liquid applied membranes, TPO's etc * Roller and spray applied Intumescent/protective coatings to steel and timber * Proprietary plastering systems from the like of Sto and Resene Rockcote * Exterior plastering and render finishes * Protective and decorative paint finishes In return we will offer a competitive package negotiable on experience with a vehicle You must have rights to work in NZ or we will not respond
