We’re looking for an experienced Civil Construction Estimator / QS to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering successful projects across Auckland. About the Role You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of civil works — including earthworks, drainage, roading, utilities, and site development. Working closely with the internal team, engineers, and clients, you’ll be financial responsible for the project from Tender stage through to project completion. Key Responsibilities • Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. • Identify materials, labour, and equipment requirements. • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. • Prepare tender submissions and cost breakdowns. • Work collaboratively with the operations team to ensure a seamless transition from tender to project delivery. • Control Costs through project stage of jobs completing variation pricing and payment claims • Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating systems and accuracy. Skills & Experience • 3+ years’ experience in civil construction estimating (or similar). • Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and cost structures. • Proficient in estimating software and Excel. • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. • Confident communicator who builds strong relationships internally and externally. • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
