The Role This permanent role suits someone from a fabrication or manufacturing background who enjoys working with numbers, interpreting technical drawings, and pricing bespoke metalwork projects. You’ll be responsible for producing accurate estimates while working closely with internal teams and clients to support smooth and profitable project delivery. Key Responsibilities - Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation - Complete accurate take-offs for materials, labour, and subcontracted work - Liaise with suppliers to source current pricing - Prepare and submit detailed estimates, quotes, and tenders - Track job costs, variations, and changes throughout projects - Collaborate with project managers and workshop teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility What You’ll Need - Estimating experience within sheet metal, fabrication, or a related industry - Strong ability to interpret CAD and engineering drawings - Sound knowledge of metals, materials, and fabrication processes - Proficiency in Excel; estimating software experience is a bonus - Strong communication skills and high attention to detail What’s On Offer - Competitive hourly rate based on experience - Supportive team environment with a great team culture - Diverse and interesting fabrication projects - Opportunities for long-term growth and development
