We’ve got two exciting In this Technical Coordinator (Technical Supervisor) positions. We are seeking an experienced Line Mechanic/Lineman or Supervisor who is EWRB registered to coordinate and supervise maintenance activities across the Auckland Distribution Network. The role involves assembling work packs for planned maintenance, assisting in the drafting of switching schedules and material picklists, and providing on-site supervision and coordination of power outages. You will ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time, to quality standards, and within operational budgets, while maintaining a strong focus on operational performance and customer satisfaction, making a real impact. • The successful candidate will work on key responsibilities like: • Plan and coordinate project activities with Project Managers, design teams, customers, and technical staff. • Develop and implement cost-effective engineering methods and procedures that comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards. • Schedule resources and manage technical project work in alignment with project timelines and deliverables. • Provide leadership and guidance to technical staff to maintain productivity and foster positive industrial relations. • Assist in scoping, estimating, and pricing of Purchase Order (PO) projects. • Support Project Managers with progress claims, scope change assessments, and preparation of technical reports. • Identify and assess project risks to prevent outages, equipment damage, and ensure customer satisfaction. • Contribute to the development of inspection and test plans (ITPs), job packs, and commissioning documentation. • Monitor and track costs associated with job-specific plant and equipment on a weekly and monthly basis. • Oversee testing and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications and performance standards. • Ensure all project activities adhere to the terms of the Contract Agreement for both Omexom and the customer. Qualifications and Skills • A trade qualification in Distribution is essential. • A live line qualification and/or tertiary qualification at a polytechnic is preferred. • Hands-on experience in distribution network installation and maintenance. • A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements for the carrying out of all prescribed electrical work. • Sound computer skills Who are we?
