This role offers the best of both worlds, combining electrical work with practical service technician duties. Our client is looking for a reliable and practical individual to join their team as an Electrical Dairy Technician, working across installation, servicing, and maintenance of milking machines and related farm equipment. About you: This suits someone with a full EWRB electrical licence who’s comfortable on the tools and enjoys a varied workload. You might be fault-finding wiring issues one day, repairing pumps the next, and carrying out general servicing and on-farm repairs after that. You’ll also help support and look after an Electrical Technician who is working towards becoming a fully qualified electrician. If you’ve got a solid electrical background and like a role that keeps you moving, this could be a great fit. Key Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair milking machines, pumps, and associated farm equipment - Carry out servicing, testing, and compliance checks (training provided in dairy systems) - Use your electrical skills for low- and standard-voltage fault-finding, repairs, and installations - Assist with mechanical repairs, welding, and fabrication when needed - Troubleshoot issues on-site and provide practical solutions - Support and guide an Electrical Technician who is progressing toward full qualification Hours of Work: - Standard hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM - Flexibility needed for early starts, later finishes, and seasonal peaks - Weekend and on-call work on a rotating roster (every 10 – 12 weeks) To Apply: You must hold a current full EWRB electrical licence, be based locally, and have full time work rights in New Zealand.
