About the Role With full responsibility for the department’s daily operations, you will need to be confident and experienced to make decisions and take action to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation are met. Your responsibilities will include: • Managing stock orders, rotation and storage, and incorporating seasonal ranging. • Creating an excellent shopping experience with a strong focus on the customer. • Team leadership that instils a positive team culture and works to develop team knowledge of product and presentation. • A focus on driving trade activity and profitability. • Adhering to internal/external standards and maintaining food safety compliance and record keeping. • Achievement of operational targets, including waste management, staffing, and stock turnover. • Ensuring integrity and accuracy for pricing and signage. • Effective utilisation of resources and data to make decisions and implement change to maximise productivity and profitability. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ About You We are seeking a Produce Manager who is: • Experienced in Produce / Fresh Foods retail in a management position. • Understands the operational requirements of running a fresh foods department and can demonstrate their knowledge and abilities – stock orders & inventory, people management, product handling, supplier relationships. • An excellent communicator with a positive and friendly manner. • Highly organised and confident in managing people. • Brings energy and drive to achieving KPIs and getting the job done. • Able to build, maintain, and positively influence stakeholder relationships. • Has proficient numeracy and computer skills. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a full-time position working Tuesday to Saturday.
