We're looking for compassionate, reliable people to join our Permanent Relief Team (PRT) full-time in Christchurch. This is a highly varied role supporting people with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives in a safe, warm, and home-like environment. About the Role As a Permanent Relief Support Staff member, you'll work across a range of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, awake night shifts, split shifts, and weekends. You will be: * Supporting daily routines including shopping, meal preparation, household tasks * Providing personal care respectfully and safely * Supporting community activities and outings * Encouraging independence, choice, and wellbeing * Follow support plans and maintain accurate records About You We're looking for someone who is flexible, empathetic, and dependable, with a genuine passion for supporting others. You'll ideally have: * NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 2 or higher), or experience as a Support Worker / Caregiver / Healthcare Assistant * Full New Zealand driver's licence (essential) * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Good computer skills * A respectful, person-centred approach to providing support to people with learning disabilities. * Must be available to work weekends and a variety of shifts  What We Offer * Competitive pay: $26.35 – $31.45 per hour (based on qualifications) * + $2.00 per hour for awake night shifts (11:00pm – 7:00am) * Ongoing training & career development * Support to complete NZ Certificates in Health & Wellbeing (Levels 2 & 3) * Fully funded First Aid, Manual Handling, Falls Prevention & Dysphagia training * Free Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – counselling, financial & career support * Access to staff discounts with 40+ partner organisations Important Visa Information Although Hawksbury is accredited to employ staff on an Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), we do not have a Job Check for this role and are therefore unable to support visa applications for this position.  Why Join Hawksbury?
