Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across the sector Peer Support Team Leader Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)service Permanent, full time Service delivery covering addiction sector For over 40 years, Odyssey House Christchurch has been committed to improving the wellbeing of individuals, whānau, and communities affected by addiction, mental health, and related challenges. We are now seeking an experienced and passionate leader to guide and grow our lived experience support services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated Peer Support team that works across community and hospital settings, supporting people on their recovery journeys. Based at our Carlyle Street community hub, the team maintains strong connections with secondary addiction services, emergency department, and a wide range of community partners. As the Peer Support Team Leader, you will provide both leadership and direct support. You will carry a caseload while ensuring the effective coordination and development of the team. This includes overseeing referrals, maintaining robust systems and processes, preparing reports, and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across the sector. Key Responsibilities * Provide a range of peer-led interventions to support recovery and wellbeing * Walk alongside clients, supporting them to navigate their own pathways to wellbeing * Build and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders * Facilitate groups and contribute to service delivery across multiple settings * Ensure accurate and timely case notes, data collection, and reporting * Lead, support, and develop a team of Peer Support workers across diverse environments About You You are an experienced Peer Support practitioner with a strong commitment to lived experience values and recovery-focused practice. You bring both leadership capability and a genuine ability to connect with people wherever they are on their journey. You will also have: * Significant experience in Peer Support, ideally within addiction and mental health services * Proven leadership or team coordination experience * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * The ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of people * Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities * Cultural competence and a commitment to working in a way that honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supports diverse communities
