Work within a structured therapeutic model to ensure safety and wellbeing * Women’s journey from addiction to wellbeing. * Be part of an innovative residential service. * 3 shifts per week, Saturday, Sunday and Monday Odyssey House has been providing residential treatment for drug and alcohol addiction for over 40 years in Canterbury. Together with Purapura Whetu, we are proud of the women’s residential programme running at a rural location in North Canterbury, providing support for wahine from the criminal justice system. We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and resilient Overnight Support Worker to join our team, providing support to wahine experiencing mental health and addiction challenges. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, calm, and supportive environment overnight. Role modelling positive behaviours and responding to situations as they arise. This role will be working alone overnight, with on-call support available. There is an evidence-based model that we operate to. This keeps everyone safe and our wahine on a journey to wellbeing, so you will need ability to work within a structured therapeutic model, maintaining clear boundaries, consistency, and accountability. You will need: * Strong communication, good organisation and interpersonal skills * Resilience and emotional regulation * Experience working in mental health, addiction, or social services * Level 4 qualification in a health and wellbeing field, or be willing to work towards this (Odyssey actively encourages and supports training) * Full driver’s licence * Ability to work from 9.30pm – 7.30am, Saturday, Sunday and Monday What we offer: * Tailored Professional Development Plan * Cultural training and supervision * Birthday Leave Join a team who are passionate about making a difference and striving for successful outcomes.
