Mentorship and meaningful progression in funeral service About the RoleWe are currently seeking a Funeral Director & Mortuary Assistant to support our mortuary team, with the opportunity to grow into a qualified Mortuary Technician and, ultimately, a broader role in funeral direction. Direct Responsibilities * Assisting with the respectful care, preparation, and transfer of the deceased * Assist with preparing bodies for funerals and burials * Helping families plan funeral arrangements with empathy and professionalism * Liaising with third parties such as celebrants, florists, and caterers * Supporting funeral services, from logistics to service setup * Maintaining a high level of presentation, dignity, and discretion at all times Why Join Us?  * Gain a formal qualification and build a purposeful long-term career * Be part of something bigger - help families during their most vulnerable moments * Enjoy structure, mentorship, and meaningful progression across all areas of funeral service * Work in a tight-knit, respectful team that genuinely supports one another Days & Hours:  * Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm * On-Call Roster: After-hours and weekend work is required due to the on-call schedule, with additional remuneration provided. Flexibility is essential.
