Valued contributions and influence on company operations As a Youth Support Worker, you’ll work alongside rangatahi (youth) with high and complex needs, supporting them to build routine, connection, and a life that feels worth showing up for. Our Manawatū region is growing in 2026, and we’re looking to welcome more amazing people into our team as we expand the support we offer rangatahi and whānau. So let us tell you, what our mahi can offer: • Work life balance! We often work 48hr - 72 hr blocks, so you will have 4 - 5 days off per week to enjoy all of the things you love to do outside of mahi! We sometimes have shorter shifts available too 4 - 8 hrs (Working regular hours will require you to cover 1 weekend shift every 2 weeks) • Travel to different parts of the North Island for mahi. • Have ongoing learning opportunities. • The office team is here to serve you, rather than the reverse. • Tautoko - Support tāngata whaiora with mental health concerns or intellectual disability to create a daily routine and establish activities. • Be part of an awesome supportive team environment that cares about our tāngata whaiora. • Ka whakanuia koe, YOU are valued at MindFull your opinion matters and you have a say on how the company operates, what it becomes and how it approaches support. • Have regular clinical and cultural supervision, support and opportunities to debrief when you need it. • Never be “just” a support worker (we reject that thinking at MindFull). • Work with an awesome bunch of authentic and genuine people. Must have: • Full driver's license • Level 4 or above Qualification in a health or youth related field • Experience in healthcare/community sector working with rangatahi/youth • You must have your own reliable vehicle - Current warrant and registration People who pass our interview process: • You are comfortable and experienced working in high-risk environments • You’re awesome • You’re a think on your feet type • You're adventurous and enjoy being active (we like to go on adventures with whaiora) • You have awesome professional boundaries • You’re an engaging communicator • Are personable • You like collaborating with your team and whaiora • Understand mana enhancing approaches to support • Have previous experience • Are trauma informed • Understand Mental Health approaches e.g. de-escalation, active listening • You are culturally aware • You have a growth mindset – open to new research and approaches • You are confident navigating crisis and working with people who have high and complex needs • You are flexible in your approach, and can follow a plan • You are self aware and have a reflective practice • You are looking for work life balance, and are open to a casual contract and flexible work Warning: we aren’t another boring healthcare company….
