During this time you need to be available to staff across the region who may need to phone you for guidance and on rare occasions you will need to physically attend a site during on-call hours.\r\n\r\nFor the right person, this will be a demanding but exciting, evolving role, allowing you to operate at the forefront of good practice within the sector. The Role

We have more than 300 worksites and support options across the whole Auckland region from Warkworth to Waiuku.
In Choices in Community Living, we provide services for adults with physical and intellectual disabilities within their own homes and out into their community. We provide 1:1 support which consists of a range of hours between 6am to 9pm Monday to Sunday.
As a Community Support Worker you take on tasks that are dynamic and will depend on the needs and dreams of each person. You provide assistance with daily activities such as community participation, socializing, work or education, personal cares and domestic chores, as well as responsibility for reporting and administration.

Service Coordinator - Wellington
Spectrum Care helps people with intellectual disabilities to live their lives of choice. We're looking for a service coordinator to cover parental leave for one year, to join our team. The successful applicant will work within a small, busy team of 5 welcoming and supportive managers, mainly based in our office in Petone but working throughout Wellington, the Hutt Valley and Porirua. There is opportunity to work from home some of the time, and a car and fuel card is provided, with the car being available for personal use.
Reporting to the Wellington Regional Manager, the service coordinator is responsible for the recruitment, practice and management of support workers, and for forming great relationships with disabled people and whānau so we can best suit their needs. They also imagine and lead the development of initiatives that improve the quality and quantity of services we offer. Currently we provide services under residential, respite, vocational, and SIL contracts. Service coordinators normally work office hours but do need to have some flexibility, as occasionally they may need to attend evening appointments. There is also an on-call component covering non office hours, which is currently once every 6 weeks, for one week, paid at $10 an hour during non-office hours. During this time you need to be available to staff across the region who may need to phone you for guidance and on rare occasions you will need to physically attend a site during on-call hours.
For the right person, this will be a demanding but exciting, evolving role, allowing you to operate at the forefront of good practice within the sector. We want to assist disabled people live good lives, working closely with them and their whānau, with our actions underpinned by Enabling Good Lives principles. We are fortunate in having many great support workers, although currently not enough of them- finding good staff in partnership with our in-house recruitment advisor will be part of your role. You will need to be an agile thinker, organised, able to view the big picture but also pay attention to detail, and ready to get routine work completed but also flex to meet whatever challenge each day brings. This isn't easy work, and we are not perfect, but we are trying hard to be what disabled people need from us. Certainly, this role comes with both joy and challenges, and very few dull moments!

Ka Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa is a national, values-led organisation providing mental health, addiction, disability, and wellbeing services across Aotearoa.
In Tamaki Makaurau, our Health & Disability teams offer both residential and community-based support for tangata whaiora (client) and their whanau (family). We walk alongside people to help build confidence, independence, and wellbeing in their daily lives, drawing on professional skills and/or personal lived experience.
We're currently seeking expressions of interest for both Support Worker and Peer Support Worker roles across Auckland. Our services include Adult Mental Health, Youth, Pasifika, Dual Disability, and Forensics and so much more, with roles available across Auckland. These may be permanent, fixed-term, part-time, full-time, or casual, depending on availability.

We are looking for people who have:
For Support Worker roles:
* A Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (or equivalent), or a commitment to complete this within 2 years
* Experience working in mental health, addiction, disability, or social services
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* A basic level of computer literacy and confidence using digital tools
* A full, clean New Zealand driver licence
Additional for Peer Support Worker roles:
* Personal lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery
* The ability to share your recovery journey to inspire hope and model wellness

About the role:
Join our team as a full-time Support Staff member based in Avonhead, Christchurch, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in a warm, home-like setting.
You'll support them with everyday activities such as shopping, meal preparation, household chores, personal care, and community outings. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to build trusted relationships and provide compassionate, person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs.
