Show initiative and be self-motivated Motueka Birdhurst Group is a family owned and operated apple and kiwifruit business and along with its post-harvest entity Golden Bay Fruit grows, packs and sells fruit around the world. With marketing staff based offshore, this Motueka company continues to expand and operates a state of the art packing facility using the worlds leading technology. The company is now seeking additional cleaning staff to complement their current cleaning team working across the company's RSE worker accommodation premises. Key responsibilities will involve undertaking general cleaning duties associated with RSE worker accommodation including cleaning showers/toilet areas, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing windows, emptying rubbish bins and carrying rubbish bags. Applicants with a proven record working as commercial cleaners or working in large scale laundry environments would be of particular interest to the company. Applicants must have a good level of general fitness and agility with the ability to lift/carry between 10kg to 20kg weights and push/pull household furniture/appliances around rooms. You must also be able to work in team situations and work cooperatively and productively with other staff. Successful candidates will also have a proven record in showing initiative, being self-motivated with the ability to communicate positively at all levels of the organisation. Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm and applicants must have a drivers license and can ideally drive a manual vehicle.
