Opportunity to influence projects and mentor engineers Chartered Civil Engineer - Land Development Palmerston North We are assisting a well-established engineering consultancy to find a Chartered Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Palmerston North. This is a genuine leadership opportunity for an experienced Chartered Engineer who enjoys managing projects, mentoring others and building strong client relationships. With a substantial pipeline of secured land development work, you'll step into an active portfolio of projects from day one and play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the business. With a strong and growing portfolio of land development projects already underway, you'll join a business that offers both immediate project involvement and long-term career security. The work is diverse, ranging from smaller residential developments through to significant subdivision and infrastructure projects. You'll play a key role within the engineering team, taking ownership of project delivery across a diverse range of residential and land development projects while helping support and develop a growing engineering team. Key responsibilities include: - Leading civil and land development projects from design through to delivery - Stormwater, three waters and civil infrastructure design - Managing client relationships and project outcomes - Coordinating with councils, contractors, surveyors and planners - Reviewing and approving engineering designs - Providing technical leadership across the engineering team - Mentoring and developing junior engineers - Supporting business growth and strengthening client relationships We're interested in hearing from professionals who offer: - Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status - Strong New Zealand land development experience - Expertise in stormwater and civil infrastructure design - Proven ability to manage projects and client relationships - Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills - Experience mentoring or leading less experienced engineers - Familiarity with industry design software and engineering systems - A practical, commercially minded approach to project delivery What's On Offer - $130,000 - $170,000 depending on experience - Significant pipeline of secured work - Access to the Employee Share Ownership Plan - Supportive and family-friendly culture - Professional development and ongoing support This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chartered Engineer looking for more than just another consulting role.
