We're a friendly bar, courtyard and kitchen located in the heart of Cuba Street. Serving tap beers, epic little wines, cocktails and always-on dining, we're here to celebrate the simple pleasures of food, drink and friends with our community. Whether it's post-work drinks, late night sessions or Sunday brunch, come park up in the courtyard, or grab a nook inside. Our menu places focus on quality ingredients and honest food, done well - and just like us, it rolls from late morning until late. Our front door's open Tuesday to Sunday. Solid day and night trading, offering a fun, vibrant atmosphere that will pump late into the night. Our goal with this venture is to make it a Wellington institution, and we are looking for a passionate individual to help us move it forward. You will work closely with the two owners, who are hospitality enthusiasts striving to make something really special and bring Wellington something new and exciting. Hospitality is not just a business for us; it's a way of life. We are deeply passionate about providing our customers and team an extraordinary experience. We want to create an establishment where Wellingtonians are proud to bring their friends and family, show off their city, and make Wellington the coolest little capital again. The Role Looking for a Chef de partie to help us with our vision and be a crucial part to running a great Kitchen. Responsibilities Food Preparation : Preparing ingredients and dishes specific to their station, ensuring high standards of efficiency and quality.= Cooking : Cooking food items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and presentation. Station Management : Overseeing the daily operations of their section, managing tasks and responsibilities to ensure a smooth workflow. Team Leadership : Supervising junior kitchen staff, providing training and guidance as needed to ensure proper cooking techniques and hygiene standards are followed. Inventory Management : Keeping track of stock levels in their station and assisting with ordering supplies when necessary. Quality Control : Ensuring food is prepared in accordance with the standards of the establishment, including taste, presentation, and food safety regulations. Collaboration : Working closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to coordinate service and maintain efficiency during busy periods. Cleaning and Maintenance : Keeping their work area clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations. About You A positive can-do attitude. A keen eye for detail.
