This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and a commitment to producing quality work. You'll be involved throughout the manufacturing process, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. If you're someone who can read and interpret plans confidently, that's considered a huge advantage. What You'll Be Doing - Reading and interpreting plans and production drawings - Constructing and setting up formwork and moulds - Placing and checking reinforcing steel - Assisting with concrete pours and finishing activities - Stripping and preparing precast products safely and efficiently - Completing quality and dimensional checks - Working alongside the wider production team to meet deadlines - Supporting less experienced team members where required - Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety standards What We're Looking For - Proven experience within the precast concrete industry - Minimum 3-4 years' practical experience on commercial precast projects in New Zealand - Strong understanding of quality standards and production tolerances - Reliable, self-motivated and committed to producing quality work - Positive attitude with the ability to work well within a team environment - Commitment to safe work practices Highly advantageous: - Ability to confidently read and interpret plans and drawings - Forklift experience - Crane, dogging or rigging experience - Previous experience mentoring junior team members Important Information - Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand - Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will apply - Immediate starts available for suitable candidates What's On Offer - $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience and capability - Stable, long-term employment opportunity - Modern workshop environment with consistent workflow - Supportive team culture - Opportunity to further develop your skills and take on additional responsibility over time Apply Now If you're an experienced Precast Formwork Carpenter looking for your next opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
