Position: Carpenter
Location: Waikato region, with travel within the region required at times
Type: Full-time / Permanent
Pay Range: $30 to $38 per hour
Days: Monday to Friday (with occasional calls on weekends)
Hours: Guaranteed at least 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
As a Carpenter, your main responsibilities will include a wide range of onsite carpentry tasks. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Site set out and profiling
* Ground works, levels and RLs
* Formwork, falsework and reinforcing
* Concrete work
* Timber wall, roof, soffit and floor framing
* Architectural and structural steelwork
* Internal and exterior linings and finishings
* Installation of cladding systems
* Repair and maintenance of existing fixtures and fittings
* General site work, labouring and support as required
* Safe use of tools, equipment and machinery (including MEWPs)
* Maintaining PPE and supporting a strong Health & Safety culture
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Three years of relevant work experience in carpentry and commercial construction
* Strong understanding of NZ Building Codes
* Flexibility to work at different sites across the Waikato region
* Skilled in the use of general carpentry tools, equipment and materials
* Ability to estimate time and materials when required
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
* Must have a clean police report with no charges pending
