Small, supportive team where you’re not just a number We’re seeking a trade-qualified builder carpenter with at least 2 years post qualification experience who wants more than just a job, someone who values being part of a solid, down-to-earth team, working across a variety of residential and construction projects in Christchurch and surrounding areas. We’re a family-owned building company based in Christchurch, with a crew of four builders and a hands-on owner. This is a role where your skills, attitude and work ethic will really matter. Due to continued growth, we're looking for our next qualified Builder/Carpenter to join our crew. The Role We’re looking for someone who can apply carpentry skills independently when needed and a team player who’s happy to get stuck in wherever required. You'll be working across a mix of residential builds, renovations and maintenance jobs. No two days are the same and everyone pitches in. If you’re someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality work and values being part of a solid team—this could be a great fit. The Work: • Completing general carpentry and building work across a variety of projects • Reading and working from plans and specifications • Constructing frameworks, cladding, windows, cabinetry and finishing work • Assisting with foundations, boxing and concrete preparation • Completing renovations, alterations and general building work • Working alongside subcontractors and helping keep jobs run smoothly • Keeping sites tidy, safe and organised • Spotting issues early and fixing things before they become problems • Accurately recording time, materials and daily site progress The Skills: • Qualified Carpenter (Level 4 or equivalent) preferred • LBP (or working towards) is a bonus • At least 2+ years’ hands-on building experience • Can read plans and work things out on site • Takes pride in producing high-quality work • Reliable, shows up on time and ready to go • Good attitude and easy to get along with • Strong focus on health & safety • Full NZ Driver’s Licence and reliable transport A Bit About You: You’re someone who just gets on with the job.
