Join a supportive family business with strong values and growth opportunities Based at our Gore branch, you’ll lead workshop operations to deliver efficient, high-quality service outcomes while supporting a capable and engaged team.This is a practical, hands-on leadership role where you’ll work alongside technicians, providing guidance, maintaining workflow, and ensuring strong service standards in a busy agricultural environment. Key Responsibilities * Prepare, service, and deliver agricultural machinery to a high standard * Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems * Complete servicing and repairs both in the workshop and on-farm * Maintain strong safety and workmanship standards * Work collaboratively with our service, parts, and sales teams * Provide exceptional customer service when liaising with farmers and operators * Supervise workshop staff, providing guidance and support * Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team environment This role offers variety, challenge, and the opportunity to work hands-on with premium machinery brands. What we’re looking for We’re after a practical, motivated technician who’s passionate about agricultural machinery and committed to doing the job right. Minimum Requirements * At least 7 years’ experience in servicing, repairing, or maintaining agricultural, automotive, heavy machinery, or similar equipment * Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic systems * Ability to work independently and in a team environment * Full driver licence (or ability to obtain an NZ equivalent) * Good communication and customer-interaction skills Preferred (but not essential) * Qualification in Heavy Diesel, or Agricultural Machinery (or international equivalent) * Experience with modern agricultural machinery technology * Basic computer literacy for diagnostics and job documentation Why Work For Us You'll join a team that genuinely cares about customers, about each other, and about doing things right.
